Product Reviews

Izziwotnot's Bailey Sleigh cot bed isn't the most affordable, but it's stylish and well-made. It's easy to put together, although it will require two people. It looks lovely in any nursery. The panel we used was a fan of the dark wood and dowel sides. It's robust enough to be used until your baby turns toddler. It also complies with British safety standards - the depth isn't that deep that your baby can climb out, and the distance between the slats should not be more than 65mm, which will prevent their head from being trapped. It is important to remember that you'll need to purchase a mattress separately that is an additional PS88.

This cot stands out because of its sleigh-shaped design. It's also easy to put your baby inside and out of, which is a big benefit. It's slightly more expensive than other cot beds, however our panel thought it was worth the extra cost for its appearance and the durability.

This cot bed comes with two different the finishes of country pine or walnut and is suitable for babies from birth. It has three useful mattress heights, meaning you can start your baby starting with the base raised up so that they can easily get to them during the day and later lower it as they develop. It also comes with teething rails that protect your child's gums as well as their precious furniture. When your child is out of the cot bed it can easily be converted into a junior bed and then an ottoman.

Silver Cross' westport design is another cot that has an incredibly solid feel and built to last. It can be used from birth as a cot, later as toddler bed, and then as a junior bed. (Toddler guard rails are sold separately). Our panel members found it to be difficult to convert from cot to bed, however their other half said it was a doddle and took less than five minutes to complete. It's also a bit more expensive than other cots but it's a style that you'll likely want to keep and use for your children as they grow older.
